Description: The UPRA Lacaune rams were imported several years ago into the UK direct from France for use within the famous “Errington Cheese” milking sheep flock. The Erringtons are famous internationally and within the UK for producing numerous quality sheep and cow cheeses in southwest Scotland. The original and famous “Lanark Blue” is made from their unpasteurized ewe’s milk from their own flock of Lacaune ewes. These rams were used exclusively within their flock for several years, resulting in their offspring having improved yield and solids produced, improved udder conformation and milking ability both within their daughters and now their granddaughters’ generations. It is fair to say that their use within the Errington flock has been a great success and this is a rare opportunity to get such outstanding quality proven genetics for export to North America.
